A statement on the ending of The Atlas Loom

Short Version

The Atlas Loom has indeed ended. Nothing gross happened. Diana and I were not dating at any point, and we both want to be clear that this was not some kind of couples squabble or anything like that. We want to emphasize that we remain proud of the work we did together, and encourage you to continue to enjoy what we made. Otherwise, we ask that you respect our privacy in our decision. We remain friends and both look forward to creating more engaging content about storytelling, gaming and worldbuilding.

The Atlas Loom is indeed shutting down for the foreseeable future. This is of course a surprising turn of events, including for Diana and myself.

First off, I want to thank everyone for your support and feedback as we built this podcast together. We both remain incredibly proud of our work, and we both feel that we made something special.

We want you to feel as though you can enjoy the content we've made, and would like to reiterate that we are still friends and very much respect each other's work. There is no ickiness to worry about here. The Atlas Loom can remain a resource for worldbuilders of all kinds, and further, everyone now has access to the bonus content, so if you're missing just the vibe of me and Diana shooting shit, you've got hours of content now.

Second, I want to reiterate what Diana said on her stream. As much as we otherwise ask to respect our privacy in this decision, we want to get ahead of any assumptions and make it abundantly clear: Diana and I were not and never were dating, and we did not break up or anything like that. Our relationship was that of creative partners and nothing more.

Again, I know this is a disappointing turn of events. However, my passions remain the same, and I will be personally continuing on worldbuilding stuff, as well as continuing to explore storytelling in all forms. I know Diana will do the same. We simply feel this to be the best path forward for ourselves.

I am not sure how long I will be on hiatus. On my end, I essentially pulled the ripcord to give myself space to make some big decisions, and am still working through what is next. I have no intention to stop doing content work, and am happy to say that I have a few project ideas that am excited to explore. I look forward to returning to my streaming schedule and posting clips of me sayin absurd phrases about current events. But for now, I'm gonna pet my dog and go for a walk, cuz it is NICE AF OUTSIDE.

Take care and be well. I'll see y'all soon.
